If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Somewhere out west in a house with windows on all sides, placed at the top of a hill so that no matter where I look, I can see wide open skies.
Early in our marriage, we lived in a condo on the top floor. Sounds amazing, and it was, but there were only two floors.
This set of eight condos was built on the edge of our Midwestern river town near the highway heading out of town.
I loved sitting on the balcony when the humidity was tolerable, watching the clouds in the sky and the storms roll in. I always knew how to dress the kids for school.
Yes, it was beautiful.
However, the skies I enjoy are the wide open skies in South Dakota, Wyoming, and Idaho. On our drive out to Indiana, we could see thunderheads and rain storms at the edge of the earth in all directions. Yet, we were bathed in the warmth from the rays of the sunshine overhead.
So, I guess if that house dream never materializes, I will just travel the country with my guy.
